O povo da Irlanda foi às compras hoje depois que o governo emitiu um comunicado e ordenou o fechamento de escolas e universidades até 29 de março. A decisão foi tomada como medida de precaução para retardar a propagação do corona vírus.
A Ministra de Negócios Heather Humphreys e o Ministro da Saúde Simon Harris informaram hoje em uma conferência de imprensa que as pessoas não devem acumular suprimentos de comida ou entrar em pânico por causa desta situação, porque não há absolutamente nenhuma razão para isso.
“Todos nós devemos continuar comprando o que consideramos necessário para nós mesmos, familiares ou entes queridos [mas] não devemos estocar”
Representantes das empresas dizem que as lojas não estavam preparadas para tal ataque de pânico, muitas delas não têm grandes armazéns, e as mercadorias são entregues de centros logísticos.
Segundo especialistas, a situação nas lojas deve se acalmar rapidamente, as redes argumentam que a continuidade do abastecimento é garantida e não há risco de os alimentos acabarem.
